Leading Global Teams

This program provides global team leaders with the necessary knowledge, mindsets and skills for more effective multicultural teamwork. Participants gain practical insights on how culture impacts the team process, acquire effective multicultural leadership and management skills, use tools for modeling flexible and resilient communication processes and explore best practices for participating in global teams. Building effective teams is especially challenging within a multicultural environment. Successful team leadership in one cultural context may appear ineffectual in another because of culturally-based assumptions and expectations. Roles and responsibilities of team members vary based on corporate culture, and local culture’s preferences and orientations.

Leading and Managing Across Cultures

This two-day workshop is highly interactive and provides managers and collaborative contributors with the knowledge, approach and aptitude for more effective multicultural collaboration amongst teams, both domestically and internationally. In this setting, teamwork, accurate communication and efficiency are critical. Cultural differences can contribute to decreased productivity and cause misunderstandings and conflicts. Successful team leadership in one cultural context may appear ineffectual in another because of culturally-based assumptions and expectations. Participants gain practical insights on how culture impacts the team process, acquire effective multicultural leadership and management skills, use tools for modeling flexible and resilient communication processes, and explore best practices for participating in a global environment.

Managing Across Cultures

This program is a highly interactive two-day workshop that targets the challenges posed by working inside rapidly globalizing organizations. It is designed for managers and collaborative contributors who work together on globalized, matrixed teams in a virtual environment. In this setting, teamwork, accurate communication and efficiency are critical. Cultural differences can contribute to decreased productivity and cause misunderstandings and conflicts. Participants gain practical insights on how culture impacts the team process, acquire effective multicultural leadership and management skills, use tools for modeling flexible and resilient communication processes, and explore best practices for participating in global teams. The workshop is divided into two main learning experiences:

Sales Effectiveness Across Cultures

This workshop is highly interactive and can be delivered as a four hours or one-day workshop. It targets the intercultural challenges posed by working as a sales force inside rapidly globalizing organizations. It is designed specifically for sales teams that work in globalized environments where accurate intercultural sales strategies, and effective communication and protocol are critical. Cultural differences can contribute to decreased productivity and cause misunderstandings and conflicts. Participants gain practical insights on how culture impacts the sales process, acquire effective multicultural relationship skills, use tools for modeling flexible and resilient communication processes, and explore best practices for participating in global sales projects.

Global Team Collaboration

This two-hour program is designed to help participants in acquire the critical knowledge, skills and mindset for working ln a globalized business environment. It specifically focuses on the impact of business partners in working with and establishing credibility, communication skiills, building relationships, and collaborating in face-to-face and virtual teams. Participants are introduced to the Cultural Orientations Model, which provides a systematic approach to understanding the cultural differences one encounters when working globally. The program is interactive and “hands-on”, utilizing customized exercises, simulations and scenarios. Specific business related national cultural profiles are explored, and participants will examine other significant sources of an individual’s personal cultural preferences as well, including host, functional and corporate culture.
