I’m Jeri Schaefer and I’m a stay-at-home mom. I’m a formally-trained attorney, but I’m home raising my children. I always loved languages and I’m in a field of dressage competition, which is very German based, and it would be nice to be able to communicate in German. Germany is the place, the home of dressage really, and it’s nice to be able to communicate with people when I go over, and also to be able to read the books in their native language. Berlitz has a reputation for being able to teach adults quickly, and have them up and speaking a language the way a traditional language class doesn’t, and I feel that I progressed very rapidly here, and I’m speaking for 2-1/2 or 2 hours and 15 minutes with an instructor, and we’re carrying on a little bit more than rudimentary conversation within less than three months. Berlitz has been great. The teachers are wonderful. The office is very welcoming. The environment is a nice learning environment. And the program is very professional, very well done, and it provides, it gives you what it professes to give you. You know, it advertises an adult-learning course that has you up and speaking and it’s been delivering that. Well, I’ve been able to fly to Germany, and to be in towns and speak German, and have conversation in social groups, where I’m understood and can comfortably understand the conversation around me. I’ve gone to restaurants in Germany and been able to order off the menu and have a nice conversation with the people in the restaurant. And it’s a nice way to travel in another country, when you have a grasp of the language and feel that you can get around comfortably. I recommend Berlitz. I think it’s a great program. It delivers what it says it will. And if you want to speak a language rapidly and you’re willing to put in the time, then they will deliver the program to you.
