“I’ve been to a couple other Spanish schools, a couple other language schools, and Berlitz by far, for me, is like number one, and it’s because of the conversation. I mean the staff also, but it’s the conversation. You’re constantly speaking the language, rather than trying to learn the grammar, the grammar, the grammar, constantly speaking Spanish for the 2-1/2 hours, or however long you’re in the class, so I definitely recommend it. Yes, I say Berlitz definitely works."

My name is Anthony Parisi, and I’m part owners of a deli and liquor store and I’m the manager there. Well I have a lot of friends who speak Spanish and I have a lot of customers who speak Spanish, so I thought it would be valuable to learn Spanish. I also love the music, the culture, and you’re listening to the music, you have no idea what they’re saying and I want to know. I traveled to Puerto Rico, and I was in the cab with a cab driver who didn’t speak any English and I was able to communicate with him, so it changed my life that way. Also when I would go to my parties with a lot of my Spanish friends, normally they would say, “Anthony’s here. Speak English.” But now, “Anthony’s here. Speak Spanish,” and I comprehend a lot, and I’m really surprised how much I’ve learned there. My experience has been great. The staff, the teachers, everybody has been very helpful. My teachers have been very energetic, enthusiastic, and they make the class, they make learning Spanish fun, or learning another language fun, where sometimes it could be a little bit boring because it’s kind of like, for me, like math. Like you’re learning a whole new equation, a whole new way of speaking, and it’s a whole new formula. And they do it a way where it makes it fun and enthusiastic. 75 or 80% of the class is just conversation, so it really teaches you how to speak Spanish, where other schools you’re constantly concentrating on grammar, where at Berlitz you’re constantly speaking the language, so you leave, it gives you the confidence to practice what you’ve learned. Always practicing with my customers, with my friends. When I’m listening to Spanish music, I pick up the words. I know what they’re saying, television. Being able to have a conversation, where you’re making jokes, you’re making people laugh in a whole another language, that’s definitely been it. Where I know where I’m conversing with somebody, and I say a joke, and they get it and they laugh, that’s when you say to yourself, “Wow, I’ve learned a lot.” I’ve been to a couple other Spanish schools, a couple other language schools, and Berlitz by far, for me, is like number one, and it’s because of the conversation. I mean the staff also, but it’s the conversation. You’re constantly speaking the language, rather than trying to learn the grammar, the grammar, the grammar, constantly speaking Spanish for the 2-1/2 hours, or however long you’re in the class, so I definitely recommend it. Yes, I say Berlitz definitely works.
