When government employees need to learn a language quickly for development of survival, basic acquisition, refresher, and maintenance skills, our Government Crash Course takes learners to a new level of language confidence in the quickest possible timeframe. The program delivers a full time training schedule—30 hours of one-on-one instruction weekly for programs ranging from 1 to 44 weeks. Rapid results are achieved with this fast-paced individual language instruction program.

Berlitz Individual Instruction is our most flexible language training option, and is custom designed to meet the learner’s schedule and unique set of objectives. Individual instruction provides personalized, one-on-one language learning that can be customized to the Civilian Agency's or Armed Forces' organizational requirements. Individual Instruction offers solutions for the full range of language skills training from survival to basic acquisition and on to refresher and maintenance.

Group Instruction is language training specifically tailored to the needs of a group of government co-workers or team members. It is an economical way to provide language instruction for personnel who are at similar levels and who have the same needs and objectives. Armed Forces team members meet in small groups of up to 12 individuals, ensuring everyone has the opportunity for personal attention and group participation.

Now government employees can learn a new language through live instructor-led language instruction without taking time away from the office with Berlitz® Virtual Classroom (BVC). BVC offers web-based live language programs that combine the proven-effective Berlitz Method® with the power of leading-edge information technology.  BVC programs for government are available for Private and Group instruction.

Berlitz Civilian and Military Cultural Assimilation Seminars provide practical aspects of day-to-day life during foreign assignments and deployment. Our programs are designed to benefit civilian and military personnel by providing tools and hands on training for an effective overseas assignment or deployment, and addressing a full range of skills and perspectives that support an individual’s ability to work within an intercultural environment.

Civilian and military reintegration programs are designed to benefit every type of civilian and military international assignee and deployed personnel returning home. Our seminars offer assignees programs that provide the tools for successfully managing career, friendships, and designed to ease the transition by understanding the readjustment process of returning home after international assignments or deployments.

The Berlitz Online Proficiency test assesses personnel’s ability to communicate in a work-related environment. The test is available in several languages and Berlitz testing reaches far beyond a basic linguistic snapshot to yield accurate, meaningful results in relation to speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities.

Available in a wide range of languages, the Berlitz Proficiency Interview is a customized language proficiency test designed to meet your agency’s specific needs for assessing the skills required for day-to-day exchanges between employees and clients. Through a 20-minute series of questions, prompts, and tasks, a Berlitz Rater assesses proficiency levels in areas such as writing, reading comprehension, written and/or oral translation, and use of industry-specific terminology.
