The 60 minute test of writing skills includes practical tasks such e-mail, memo and report writing and are rated according to the following:
Task Fulfillment
This is intended to assess an examinee’s “understanding of given input for each task and ability to perform task requirements accordingly.”
Idea Organization This is intended to assess the ability to organize writing with the use of rhetorical structures, cohesive devices and transition words. It also assesses the ability to develop ideas with supporting details and examples.
